Types of InSpEd Membership
Thank you for your interest in joining InSpEd!
The first year’s Membership Fee for a Certified Special Educator, including Application Fee is $350, and then membership renewal fee of $100 per year. If your application is not successful, the fee will be refunded, less an administration fee of $100.
Certified Special Educator

A Certified Special Educator has a recognised qualification in Special Education, as determined by the InSpEd Expert Panel, and at least three years experience in a Special Education role. In order to maintain accreditation, Certified Special Educators need to have completed the specified hours of professional development.
Associate Membership

Associate members either do not qualify for certification or are not interested in becoming Certified Special Educators. Membership will enable you to show support for the overarching aim of InSpEd to improve the quality of special education provision in Australia and will allow you access to the resources available on the member page.
Organisational Membership

Through membership, you will be supporting the overarching aim of InSpEd to improve the quality of special education provision in Australia. Membership will allow you access to member resources, including research summaries and recommended practice presentations. Through the member forum on the member page, you will also be able to ask questions, provide feedback or engage in discussions on specific topics with other InSpEd members.
